Where do you find your employees?
Most of our employees have been referred to us by existing field staff. In addition, AMP has been aggressively pursuing off-site recruiting campaigns throughout northeast Ohio including multi-media advertising, healthcare career fairs, recruiting parties and mobile recruiting luncheons. We recruit 24 hours a day to attract the most experienced and motivated healthcare staff.

What kind of background checking do you do?
AMP verifies all employees’ previous employment, their license number and expiration date, BCI background check, TB testing, physical, CPR certification and OSHA & HIPPA inservices.
How do you schedule your employees?
After we receive a need from a client, we call each employee to receive a verbal confirmation of the shift from them (just in case something came up, like soccer practice). Then we call our client back to re-confirm. Confirmed shifts are guaranteed shifts at AMP.
How do you cover call-offs?
AMP is your replacement specialist. We know that life happens. We expect call-off’s and we are prepared for them. We have replacements on standby, special last-minute teams, free roadside assistance, drivers & chauffeurs, and more. Gas cards and pay incentives are really popular, too!
What if we like an employee, can we request that person again?
Absolutely! We encourage it! AMP will always honor special requests by clients. Continuity is the key to a skillfully run facility. We also give bonuses to employees that receive great compliments, so feel free to pick up the phone and call us.
What if we really like an employee, can we hire them?
Of course you can. At AMP, we love to make good matches. We’ll structure a customized hiring plan for your facility that allows you to hire your favorite employees at a price that will make your Administrator smile.

How did you come up with the name New Work City?
The owner’s son, Gage, did. He was three at the time and playing with books and papers. He scooped them all up and announced to us “I’m going to work.” “Really?” I asked. “Where do you work Gage?” He answered “New Work City.” We jumped up and wrote it down. I love it when that happens.
