How do I apply with AMP?
You can visit our offices and enjoy fresh baked cookies while there, or you can apply on-line from home in your pajamas.

How much does it cost?
AMP’s employment services are free to employees. The cookies are free too!

What should I bring with me?
Bring two forms of ID for Uncle Sam, your great attitude and an open mind for us,
To speed the application and hiring process, clinical personnel should bring their credentials (including licenses and certifications, physicals and TB documentation).
As always, your kids are welcome to accompany you to our offices. Junior Staff is always hiring.

Don’t be anxious.
There’s not that much paperwork.

How long does the application and orientation take?
It takes about ten to twenty minutes for our office staff to chat with you, and approximately one hour to complete the application and testing. Later, after our office staff completes the extensive documentation process, you will be invited back for an orientation, which lasts approximately two hours. Some assignments require specialty orientations, that may take longer. Good news! If you bring all your documentation with you at the time of application, we’ll grant you an Instant Orientation right on the spot!

 

How soon can I start?
How soon can you get here? The sooner you begin the application process, the sooner we can get you to work. Because each office is equipped with WebCheck, the online fingerprinting system, we can usually get you to work within 24 hours after application and documentation.

Where and when can I work?
You have a lot of choices at AMP. We serve over sixty clients in fifteen counties throughout northeast Ohio. You can choose from long-term care facilities, hospitals and private duty homecare. You can choose how far you want to drive to work from home, and we’ll schedule you within that distance. You can choose what shifts you want to work, and we’ll only call you for those openings. All the choices are yours.

How much do I get paid?
Based on your previous experience and the benefits you choose, we’ll create a customized employment offer to suit your needs.

How do I get paid?
With AMP’s daily Instant Pay, you can turn in a time-card by 11 am and receive a paycheck by 2 pm the same day! You can also choose weekly pay, direct deposit, or even have your check deposited directly to a paycard.

Can I get a bonus for referring employees to AMP?
Absolutely! We encourage referrals and compensate our employees generously for bringing in their friends!
We are delighted when one of our employees loves us so much that they bring in their friends!

What if my friends aren’t nursing professionals?
We’d still love to meet them! We’ve been helping the friends and family of our medical staff find new jobs outside of the healthcare field for years. We even created New Work City to specialize in their employment needs.

If I apply in one office, can I work through both offices?
Of course! Simply mention to the office staff that you are willing to travel, and we’ll add you to both offices’ schedules. Teamwork works!

How did you come up with the name New Work City?
The owner’s son, Gage, did. He was three at the time and playing with books and papers. He scooped them all up and announced to us “I’m going to work.” “Really?” I asked. “Where do you work Gage?” He answered “New Work City.” We jumped up and wrote it down. I love it when that happens.

Can I have a dollar?
